Example: Bankim Chandra is the scott of Bengal. A Newton is not born every year. এখানে Newton দ্বারা নির্দিষ্ট একজন মানুষের নাম না বুঝিয়ে নিউটনের মতো বুদ্ধিমত্তাসম্পন্ন সকল মানুষকে একজাতীয় হিসেবে বোঝানো হয়েছে বিধায় Newton শব্দটি Commom noun.
সহজভাবে চিন্তা করলে বলা যায় কোনো Proper noun হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত কোনা মানুষের নামের আগে article বসলে তা Common noun হয়ে যায়।
Example: I don’t think myself a Shakespeare. Shakespeare শব্দটি Proper noun হলেও উক্ত বাক্যে Common noun হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।
